La République du Kazakhstan est l’un des pays les plus riches du monde en réserves de pétrole, de gaz, de titane, de magnésium, d’étain, d’uranium, d’or et d’autres métaux non ferreux. Au niveau mondial, la République du Kazakhstan est déjà le plus grand producteur de tungstène, et ses réserves sont classées au premier rang mondial, au deuxième rang pour les stocks de minerai de chrome et de phosphate, au quatrième rang pour le plomb et le molybdène, et au huitième rang pour les réserves totales de minerai de fer (16,6 milliards de tonnes) après le Brésil, l’Australie, le Canada, les États-Unis, l’Inde, la Russie et l’Ukraine.Aujourd’hui, ce n’est un secret pour personne que les États-Unis et les pays d’Europe occidentale, ainsi que la Turquie, l’Iran, le Pakistan, le Japon et la Chine, manifestent un intérêt accru pour la République du Kazakhstan. Cela s’explique principalement par le fort potentiel de la république en matières premières stratégiques, en particulier le pétrole et le gaz.
