Cet ouvrage a pour but de répondre à la nécessité de développer la construction à faible émission de carbone et aux avantages qu’elle présente pour la société. Le nombre de projets de construction à faible émission de carbone a considérablement augmenté en Malaisie ces dernières années. Afin de faire des progrès significatifs dans les pratiques de construction à faible émission de carbone, l’industrie doit améliorer sa consommation d’énergie et de ressources naturelles dans toutes ses activités de construction. Cette étude tente d’évaluer les sources d’émission de CO2 liées à la consommation d’eau et d’électricité pendant les projets de construction. La version 20 de SPSS a été utilisée pour analyser les données recueillies. Cent questionnaires ont été distribués aux entreprises de construction de Penang, et trente-et-un d’entre eux ont été remplis et renvoyés par les répondants. Les résultats ont révélé que, malgré l’importance de la construction à faible émission de carbone, peu d’entreprises sont suffisamment sérieuses pour réduire leur consommation de ressources naturelles.
