Il presente lavoro presenta come area di studio un ambiente lentico di grande importanza ricreativa, paesaggistica e sociale per il comune di Três Lagoas/MS - Brasile, la Lagoa Maior. L’ambiente limnologico in cui si trova la Lagoa Maior sta subendo progressivamente alterazioni antropiche. Per dimostrare il grado di danno causato da tale occupazione, sono state effettuate analisi tecniche, fisiche e chimiche in loco. I risultati ottenuti sono serviti come base per illustrare il reale degrado e sviluppare azioni di mitigazione volte al miglioramento della sostenibilità e della balneabilità ambientale.
