Cet article réalise une analyse avec une approche interprétative de la gestion pédagogique des enseignants du primaire et des changements survenus suite au confinement par la pandémie de COVID-19, à partir d’entretiens ouverts avec sept enseignants. Les résultats révèlent des processus d’auto-éducation et d’utilisation naissante de la virtualité chez les enseignants, pour mettre en œuvre des stratégies telles que : l’attention personnalisée grâce à l’utilisation de l’application WhatsApp, la planification diversifiée avec le travail collaboratif entre pairs, les visites à domicile, la participation de la communauté et des parents comme agents de liaison, la construction de livrets, l’utilisation de plateformes numériques telles que Zoom, Meet, Facebook et Google Classroom, qui favorisent le développement de l’enseignement à distance au niveau primaire dans l’État de Mexico.
