L’idea di questo testo nasce dalla domanda su quali siano le origini culturali del relativismo-ateismo presenti nella società occidentale in relazione alla bioetica. Tali principi si rinvengono nell’interpretazione filosofica sulla figura di Gesù Cristo. I criteri ermeneutici per decifrare la questione bioetica oggi si possono ritrovare principalmente - non solamente - nelle filosofie cristologiche di Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, che hanno la loro scaturigine nella visione luterana di Cristo e che hanno provocato lo sviluppo di una visione della vita come se Dio non esistesse. Perché, allora, non proporre in alternativa, l’idea di vivere la vita nella prospettiva dell’esistenza di Dio, rivelato da Cristo perchè un mondo senza il Dio di Cristo è un mondo contro Cristo, cioè un mondo contro l’uomo, contro la vita dell’uomo. Il Dio rivelato da Cristo, pertanto, c’entra con le mie scelte bioetiche: è il riferimento per il mio discernimento bioetico in quanto Cristo è la verità sulla vita di Dio e dell’uomo che consiste nell’amore per la vita, qualsiasi tipo di vita, in qualsiasi momento del suo sviluppo umano.
