Chi chiamiamo 'giovani'? Il dizionario definisce la 'gioventù' come 'il periodo tra l’infanzia e l’età adulta'. La 'gioventù' è generalmente intesa come un periodo di transizione/trasformazione dalla dipendenza dell’infanzia all’indipendenza dell’età adulta e alla consapevolezza di questa interdipendenza come membri di una comunità. Nell’ultimo decennio si è assistito a una rapida trasformazione dell’autonomia individuale grazie all’aumento dell’uso di Internet e di altri servizi online. I blog, le e-mail, gli SMS, ecc. hanno messo in contatto l’individuo con il resto del mondo con un solo clic del mouse o un tocco dello schermo. Ma ci sono anche effetti negativi associati all’uso diffuso di queste strutture, in particolare dei telefoni cellulari, che si manifestano soprattutto tra i giovani. Sono stati riscontrati disturbi psicologici e psicosomatici, nonché problemi comportamentali prevalenti tra i giovani, che si sostiene siano il risultato dell’uso dilagante dei telefoni cellulari. Tuttavia, la nostra indagine è limitata alla popolazione giovanile urbana. Pertanto, cercheremo di fornire un divario socio-economico nell’uso del telefono cellulare. Inoltre, forniremo una soluzione per ridurre al minimo questa nuova dipendenza.
