Un problème fréquent dans le tableau clinique de la maladie de Parkinson est la progression des troubles de la mobilité due à la nature dégénérative de la maladie. Cela est d’autant plus important que le nombre de nouveaux cas de maladie de Parkinson va continuer à augmenter dans un avenir proche en raison des évolutions démographiques connues et de la tendance à l’allongement de la durée de vie. Tout traitement de la maladie de Parkinson repose sur la pharmacologie. Cependant, comme l’efficacité des médicaments disponibles est limitée et qu’ils peuvent avoir des effets secondaires difficiles à évaluer, les méthodes de traitement alternatives gagnent en importance. La danse-thérapie est une mesure possible pour maintenir ou améliorer la mobilité des personnes atteintes de la maladie de Parkinson. Cependant, l’efficacité de la danse-thérapie n’a pas encore été suffisamment prouvée. L’objectif de cet ouvrage est de démontrer, à l’aide d’une analyse systématique de la littérature, l’efficacité des interventions de danse-thérapie en termes de maintien/amélioration de la mobilité des personnes atteintes de la maladie de Parkinson.
