«La casa de muñecas» es la obra más conocida del dramaturgo Henrik Ibsen. En ella se cuenta la historia de Nora, quien convive con su marido Torvald Helmer y sus dos hijos y pertenece a la clase alta noruega del siglo XIX. La vida de la familia transcurre con normalidad hasta que aparece el personaje de un usurero que reclama a Nora un préstamo que pidió en secreto años atrás para salvar a su marido. Entonces, para afirmarse a sí misma como ser humano, tiene que enfrentarse a la supuesta normalidad de su vida, aunque esto suponga romper las normas y convenciones establecidas por la sociedad. Con esta obra, Ibsen creó a su personaje más emblemático, que se convirtió en un símbolo por la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres.
