Dieses Buch beschreibt die internationalen Strategien der Vereinten Nationen zur Katastrophenvorsorge aus der Perspektive der Krankenpflege. Es hebt die vierte Priorität des United Nation Framework for Disaster Reduction hervor, indem es die Katastrophenbereitschaft des Gesundheitspersonals verbessert. Außerdem betont es die Ausbildung auf der Grundlage international vereinbarter Katastrophenkompetenzen für die Bereitschaft der Beschäftigten im Gesundheitswesen, um das Endziel der Verringerung der Auswirkungen von Katastrophen und der Verluste zu erreichen, indem diese beiden Rahmenwerke miteinander verbunden werden.
