Berufliche Handlungskompetenzen ermöglichen einen schnellen aufschließenden Zugang zu neu aufkommenden Inhalten. Methoden des Lernens ermöglichen dem Inhaber, bestimmte Lernprozesse effizienter und aktiver selbst zu gestalten. Diese Lernmethoden sind zunächst nicht fachgebunden, sie können universell genutzt werden (vgl. Arnold & Krämer-Stürzl, 1999, S. 218). „ Der Wandel in der Arbeitswelt führt in vielen Bereichen dazu, dass Mitarbeiter mit immer komplexeren Aufgabenstellungen konfrontiert werden. .... Voraussetzung ist jedoch, dass ihn die Ausbildung auf diese Aufgaben vorbereitet, in dem sie seine `berufliche Handlungskompetenz` im Rahmen einer geeigneten Ausbildungsdidaktik fördert.' (Arnold & Krämer-Stürzl, 1999, S. 223) Die berufliche Handlungskompetenz umfasst die die Bündelung verschiedener Kompetenzen, sie unterteilen sich in: • Fachkompetenz • Sozialkompetenz • Individual- oder Personalkompetenz • Methodenkompetenz Lerntechniken und Lernstrategien lassen sich der Methodenkompetenz zuordnen (vgl. Arnold & Krämer-Stürzl, 1999, S. 224). Wer also berufliche Handlungskompetenz erwerben oder vermitteln will, kann die Methoden des Lernens nicht außer Acht lassen.
