Badanie przedstawia analizę porównawczą Libii i Egiptu. Oba kraje są rozwijającymi się gospodarkami Afryki Północnej i oba przyjęły bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne (BIZ) oraz transfer technologii (TT) jako sposoby wpływania na rozwój gospodarczy i strukturę gospodarczą w tych krajach. Celem niniejszego badania jest zbadanie kluczowych czynników sukcesu mających wpływ na bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne (BIZ) i transfer technologii (TT) z perspektywy rządów krajów przyjmujących . W badaniu zastosowano metodę ankietową do zebrania danych pierwotnych od kierowników firm w obu krajach. Dane zebrano od przedstawicieli firm posiadających bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne i transfer technologii w Libii i Egipcie. Dopasowane próbki obejmują 149 firm w Libii i Egipcie, dzięki czemu można było uwzględnić kluczowe sektory gospodarcze w obu krajach. W badaniu wykorzystano również dane zebrane ze źródeł wtórnych, takich jak raporty rządowe, dokumenty i strony internetowe rządowe. Zebrane dane zostały przetworzone i przeanalizowane.
