In dieser Arbeit wird ein umfassender Überblick über die Photoplethysmographie, ihre klinischen Anwendungen und die Analyse von PPG-Signalen gegeben. Die Photoplethysmographie (PPG) ist eine einfache und kostengünstige optische Technik, mit der Veränderungen des Blutvolumens in der mikrovaskulären Schicht des Gewebes erfasst werden können. Meistens wird sie als nicht-invasive Technik für Messungen an der Hautoberfläche eingesetzt. Es werden fünf bekannte PPG-Aufzeichnungen untersucht. Kapitel 1 befasst sich mit PPG-Signalen als Marker für klinische Anwendungen. Kapitel 2 konzentriert sich auf die Analyse von PPG-Signalen im Hinblick auf Herzfrequenzturbulenzen und ventrikuläre Extrasystolen. Kapitel 3 analysiert PPG-Signale im Hinblick auf Hurst-Komponenten, singuläre Wertzerlegung, euklidische Distanz und K-Means-Clustering. Kapitel 4 analysiert die PPG-Signale in Bezug auf statistische Parameter wie Mittelwert, Varianz, Standardabweichung, Schiefe und Kurtosis. Kapitel 5 diskutiert die Schlussfolgerung und den zukünftigen Anwendungsbereich. Diese Monografie ist besonders nützlich für Signalverarbeitungsingenieure, Studenten und Doktoranden.
