Karin Kämpfe geht in ihrer qualitativ-rekonstruktiven Studie der Pluralisierung von Kindheiten in Migrationsgesellschaften aus Kinderperspektiven nach. Anhand von in Deutschland, Frankreich und den Niederlanden geführten Gruppendiskussionen rekonstruiert sie handlungsleitende Orientierungen von Kindern im Kontext von Migration und Differenz. Im Ergebnis zeigen sich Selbstpositionierungen im Sinne planvoller sowie irritierter/unsicherer AkteurInnen als handlungsleitend. Der Ländervergleich liefert Hinweise, dass Kindheiten kein in erster Linie nationales Konstrukt darstellen, sondern durch einen größeren - hier westlich-wohlfahrtsstaatlichen sowie transnationalen - Gesamtkontext gerahmt sind.
