Dieses stammt aus der konzeptionell wichtigen Entstehungsperiode des Manuskriptes 'Zur Kritik der Politischen Ökonomie' (1861 - 1863).Im ersten Teil des Bandes nimmt der Autor in Auseinandersetzung mit Ernst Noltes 'Marxismus und Industrielle Revolution' eine umfängliche sozialhistorische Einschätzung dieser Epoche vor. Auf dem Hintergrund der Theorie der sozialen Arbeit weist er im Marxschen Verständnis des Begriffs der 'industriellen Revolution' eine stark intentionale Komponente und im zeitgenössischen Verständnis von 'Maschinerie' stark stilisierte und verdinglichte Bewältigungsformen der Industrialisierung nach.
