Otwarte dane rządowe (OGD) są obecnie powszechnie uznawane za miernik dobrego zarządzania, ponieważ umożliwiają przejrzystość, odpowiedzialność i uczestnictwo, a także wzrost społeczny i gospodarczy poprzez tworzenie miejsc pracy i stymulowanie innowacji.
