Czerniak akralny jest rzadkim podtypem czerniaka złośliwego skóry występującym na skórze akralnej, głównie na podeszwach stóp, dłoniach i paznokciach (podpaznokciowych). Wiele zmian czerniaka akralnego jest dalej klasyfikowanych jako podtyp czerniaka soczewicowatego akralnego (ALM), w oparciu o ich soczewicowaty wzór w badaniu histologicznym. Termin acral odnosi się do lokalizacji tych zmian na dłoniach i stopach, przy czym większość z nich występuje na stopach. Stanowi on 2-3% wszystkich czerniaków złośliwych, jednak ma złe rokowanie, często z powodu bardziej zaawansowanego stadium w momencie rozpoznania. W poniższej publikacji opisano przypadek pacjenta, u którego zdiagnozowano miejscowo nawracającego czerniaka akralnego bez oznak regionalnej lub odległej aktywności czerniaka oraz przegląd literatury.
