Il comportamento degli investitori al dettaglio nel mercato delle IPO, in particolare in Kerala, implica la comprensione della complessa interazione tra decisioni influenzate dall’alfabetizzazione finanziaria, dai pregiudizi comportamentali, dai tratti della personalità e dalla propensione al rischio. Con l’evoluzione del panorama finanziario indiano, gli investitori al dettaglio devono affrontare sfide nella valutazione delle IPO, influenzati dalle loro conoscenze e dai loro pregiudizi intrinseci. Questo studio esplora queste dinamiche utilizzando dati primari e vari strumenti analitici, tra cui l’alfa di Cronbach, l’ANOVA, l’analisi discriminante e la modellazione di equazioni strutturali (SEM). I risultati evidenziano che una maggiore alfabetizzazione finanziaria porta a decisioni di investimento più informate, mentre tratti della personalità come l’apertura mentale o il nevroticismo influenzano in modo significativo la partecipazione alle IPO. I pregiudizi comportamentali spesso allontanano gli investitori dalle scelte ottimali e la tolleranza al rischio emerge come un fattore cruciale, con coloro che hanno una maggiore propensione al rischio che mostrano un maggiore entusiasmo per le IPO. Questa ricerca sottolinea l’importanza di comprendere il comportamento degli investitori al dettaglio per orientare l’educazione degli investitori e le strategie normative.
