No entanto, a combinação destes dois materiais para criar uma construção composta maximiza as suas vantagens. As juntas compósitas surgiram como uma das abordagens mais promissoras nas últimas décadas. A relação momento-rotação ilustra o comportamento à flexão das juntas compósitas viga-pilar. Foram encontrados e estudados os momentos máximos, as rotações, as deformações e a capacidade de absorção de energia. A investigação anterior estudou o comportamento de materiais compósitos; poucos estudos investigaram a ligação de juntas na estrutura compósita. Por conseguinte, a ligação das juntas na estrutura mista precisa de ser mais investigada. Esta investigação tem por objetivo avaliar experimentalmente o impacto do tipo de soldadura na ligação viga-pilar em aço e o efeito do tipo de ligação na ligação viga-pilar em material compósito, bem como investigar experimentalmente os modos de rotura dos diferentes métodos de ligação das ligações compósitas viga-pilar.
