Das Land ist an allen Fronten von riesigen Märkten umgeben, wobei Mosambik im Osten und Südwesten eine Bevölkerung von 31,26 Millionen Menschen bietet, Tansania im Norden und Nordosten über 59,73 Millionen Menschen und Sambia im Westen und Nordwesten 17 Millionen Menschen. Gleich hinter diesem Land liegen andere riesige Länder wie Simbabwe mit 14,86 Millionen Einwohnern und die Demokratische Republik Kongo mit über 89,56 Millionen Einwohnern.Alle diese Länder sind entweder Mitglieder der SADC oder der COMESA, in die Malawi Fertigprodukte zollfrei exportiert, solange sie einen festgelegten Mindestanteil an lokalem Inhalt aufweisen. Malawi ist somit ein Produktionszentrum, das drei Märkte mit einer Gesamtbevölkerung von über 100 Millionen Menschen direkt verbindet und indirekt innerhalb von 2-12 Stunden mit einem Markt in Simbabwe und der Demokratischen Republik Kongo verbunden ist.Das Land ist mit enormen natürlichen Ressourcen gesegnet und verfügt über weite Gebiete wunderschöner Naturlandschaften, darunter Wildreservate und Sandstrände entlang des wunderschönen Malawisees. Der Malawisee ist eines der größten Süßwassergewässer der Welt und beherbergt die größte Vielfalt an Fischarten in einem einzigen Gewässer - über 800 Arten.Demokratische Prinzipien sind im Land fest verankert; Seit seiner Unabhängigkeit im Jahr 1964 hat das Land nie einen Bürgerkrieg erlebt und seine politischen Führer sind durch einen demokratischen Wahlprozess an die Macht gekommen.
