Dieses Buch ist eine Studie über das Internet-Informationssuchverhalten von Studierenden der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft im letzten Studienjahr an der Makerere University und der Uganda Christian University. Die Studie wurde 2013 als Vergleichsstudie zwischen einer LIS-Schule an der Makerere und einem LIS-Programm an der anderen Universität durchgeführt. Die Studie deckte eine Reihe von Problemen auf, wie im Abstract angegeben. Die Uganda Christian University ist eine private Universität im Besitz der Church of Uganda. Sie gilt als eine der stetig wachsenden privaten Universitäten in Uganda. Andererseits gingen aus der Makerere University fast alle privaten Universitäten des Landes hervor, da ihr Managementteam entweder mit der „großen' Makerere zusammengearbeitet hat oder sie durchlaufen hat.
