HOOPER, USA The International Code for Field Acceptance Tests for Hydraulic Turbines worked out by the Technical Committee No.4 'Hydraulic Turbines' and published as document No. 41, 1963 has been translated by three members of the International Electrotechnical Commission, TC/4, namely, Professor GERBER (Switzerland), Dr. DZIALLAS (Germany), and Dr. ZIEGLER (Austria) into the German language. This trans lation will greatly facilitate the use of this Code in all German speaking countries and give support to the primary aim of the International Electrotechnical Commission to establish a truly international code. Engineering profession is indebted to the group indicated above for this work and especially to Professor GERBER who was editor-in-chief for the final form of this Code in English, French and German. Die vom Technischen Komitee Nr. 4 'Wasserturbinen' ausgearbeiteten und als Dokument Nr. 41, 1963 veroffentlichten 'Internationalen Abnahmeregeln fur Wasserturbinen' wurden von drei Mitgliedern der Internationalen Elektrotechnischen Kommission, TC/4, den Herren Prof. GERBER (Schweiz), Dr. DZIALLAS (Deutschland) und Dr. ZIEGLER (bsterreich), in die deutsche Sprache ubertragen. Diese Ubersetzung wird die Anwendung der Regeln in allen deutschsprechenden Landern erleichtern und eine der wichtigsten Ziel setzungen der I.E.C., international anerkannte, lebendige Abnahmeregeln zu schaffen, wesentlich fordern.
