As mediators of the immune response, cytokines are essential for the human organism, which is in constant conflict with extra- and intracellular pathogens. The IL-23 receptor complex belongs to the group of receptors with associated tyrosine kinase and is composed of the subunits IL-23R and IL-12Rβ1.
