Bei der in dieser Arbeit untersuchten Solitärbiene handelt es sich um Centris analis, eine Ölsammlerin, die in bereits vorhandenen Hohlräumen nistet. Um ihr das Nisten zu erleichtern, hat die Universität von São Paulo, Campus Ribeirão Preto, die Technik der Fallennester aus Pappe entwickelt, über die wir im Folgenden mehr erfahren werden. In diesem Artikel werden die Ergebnisse der Untersuchungen mit dieser Technik vorgestellt, bei denen Verhaltensweisen, die bei den Weibchen von C. analis als untypisch gelten, mit dem Parasitoiden Physocephala in Verbindung gebracht wurden, nachdem dessen Rolle als Bienenwirt bestätigt worden war. Insgesamt 26 Weibchen und 9 Männchen wurden tot in leeren Fallennestern gefunden. Wochen später wurden in den Röhren, in denen sich die Bienen befanden, Dipteren aus der Familie der Conopidae (Physocephala) gefunden. Woher kamen diese Insekten, wenn sich bis vor wenigen Tagen nur die Biene in der geschlossenen Röhre befand? Es war auch möglich zu zeigen, dass das Fallennest ein Lehr-/Lerninstrument ist, das die Grenzen und Mauern der Universität durchbrochen hat, indem es Beweise zeigt und eine Möglichkeit für den Lehrer, der untersucht, und den Forscher, der lehrt, aufzeigt.
