On entend beaucoup parler de l’intelligence artificielle/IA, les attentes sont élevées. Avec la présentation du 'Chatbot Chat GPT' par l’entreprise Open AI/ San Francisco en novembre 2022, l’IA a été enregistrée par le public et les possibilités ont été présentées et soumises à discussion. Auparavant, les machines effectuaient des tâches physiques pénibles. Aujourd’hui, l’IA effectue des traductions, des recherches et des analyses complexes. Sans conscience autonome, l’IA est un instrument puissant qui peut nuire considérablement au discours démocratique (voir par exemple les deep fakes, la falsification des voix, la perpétuation des préjugés). L’IA est la machine qui apprend de nous et non l’inverse. Pour une éducation civique, des réflexions théoriques et pratiques sont donc nécessaires dans le domaine de l’éducation. Les réflexions suivantes se basent sur l’actualité, une étude de la littérature spécialisée dans le contexte de l’éducation politique et une participation exemplaire à des formations en ligne dans le domaine de l’éducation quaternaire. Compte tenu de l’évolution technologique et socioculturelle, l’étude se veut une approche de la thématique complexe dans le contexte de l’éducation politique.
