O estudo analisou o uso da inteligência artificial (IA) como uma ferramenta para promover a equidade educacional em estudantes universitários com deficiência. Foi realizada uma investigação quantitativa, descritiva-correlacional com uma amostra de 109 dos 663 estudantes da Universidade de Sonora durante o ciclo 2024-2025. Os resultados indicaram que a maioria dos estudantes considera a IA acessível e útil para melhorar o seu desempenho académico, facilitando a compreensão dos conteúdos, reduzindo o tempo dos trabalhos de casa e permitindo o estudo autónomo. Observou-se também um aumento da autonomia académica, embora persistam barreiras relacionadas com infraestruturas e desigualdade de acesso às tecnologias. Conclui-se que a IA tem um elevado potencial para reduzir as lacunas educativas, desde que sejam implementadas políticas, recursos e estratégias inclusivas para garantir um acesso equitativo.
