Sobre IBD

Existen numerosos estudios sobre la lactancia y las discapacidades, pero pocos abordan su intersección. Este trabajo busca analizar los factores culturales, sociales, económicos, laborales, sanitarios y comunicacionales que afectan la lactancia materna, considerando su déficit en cuanto a accesibilidad, especialmente para personas con discapacidad. Aunque el período de puerperio es un tema interdisciplinario global, sus enfoques no visibilizan completamente los factores que afectan la lactancia, lo que intensifica las barreras relacionadas con el capacitismo. Este estudio usa la interseccionalidad para identificar las desigualdades sistémicas que impactan la lactancia de personas con discapacidad. Finalmente, se sugieren políticas públicas accesibles que favorezcan la inclusión social y mejoren la gobernanza.
