Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine, derived from the metabolism of hydroxyzine, highly specific for the H1 receptors Cetirizine is among one of the first second generation H1 antihistamine developed to provide selective H1 receptor inhibition without central nervous system depression. The present study was carried out to assess the quality of three different brands of cetirizine on the Ghanaian market.
