The diversification of Saharan tourism products in southern Tunisia should not be limited to cultural tourism, ecotourism and thermal tourism, but should involve the simultaneous interaction of several types of tourism to satisfy all tourist desires. The standardisation of tourist products is incompatible with the thematisation and specialisation of products aimed at all segments of the tourist market. Theme-based tourism, offering unique images for each theme, should be the new Tunisian tourist product offered on the international tourist market.
