O rio Komadougou Yobé é um ecossistema vital cujo equilíbrio é gravemente perturbado pelas inundações recorrentes, que têm um impacto significativo na fauna piscícola e na flora ribeirinha. Este estudo baseia-se numa abordagem combinada, integrando a identificação dos peixes capturados pelos pescadores locais, inquéritos etnobiológicos e inquéritos fitossociológicos, a fim de analisar a diversidade ictiológica e florística. As funções 'ggballoonplot', 'networkD3' e 'fmsb' foram utilizadas para o tratamento e visualização dos dados. Os resultados mostram uma forte variação sazonal das populações de peixes: estas são dominadas por espécies estáveis antes da cheia, móveis durante a cheia e mais diversificadas depois, em resposta à dinâmica hidrológica. No que respeita à flora, o Tamarindus indica revelou-se a espécie mais vulnerável a este evento. Estes resultados sublinham a importância de compreender melhor as interações entre as inundações e a biodiversidade para a gestão sustentável dos recursos naturais.
