Cette étude examine l’impact de la violence domestique sur le développement de la personnalité des enfants, en se concentrant plus particulièrement sur les tendances destructrices chez les enfants âgés de 5 à 7 ans, une période critique pour la formation de la personnalité. L’étude émet l’hypothèse que les enfants exposés à la violence domestique présentent davantage de tendances destructrices, notamment de l’agressivité, de l’anxiété et des attitudes négatives à l’égard des parents, que les enfants issus de familles non violentes. Les méthodes de recherche combinent une approche interdisciplinaire, utilisant des tests projectifs (Cactus, René Gilles et Children’s Apperception Test), des descriptions verbales et des situations expérimentales. L’étude compare deux groupes : un groupe d’étude composé de 10 enfants issus de centres de crise et un groupe de contrôle. À l’aide de méthodes mathématiques et statistiques, dont le test t de Student, l’étude révèle des différences significatives entre les groupes en ce qui concerne l’agressivité, l’anxiété, la privation et la méfiance. Les enfants issus d’environnements violents présentent des niveaux plus élevés de ces tendances. Ces résultats soulignent la nécessité d’une intervention et de mesures préventives pour traiter et réduire les comportements agressifs chez les enfants exposés à la violence domestique.
