Il libro è il risultato di un progetto di ricerca che ha voluto contribuire a identificare e comprendere il ruolo del designer nei team multidisciplinari e le competenze necessarie per svolgere questo ruolo sempre più strategico nelle organizzazioni dell’attuale società complessa e interconnessa. Attraverso un caso di studio in una grande azienda tecnologica brasiliana e utilizzando tecniche come interviste in profondità e focus group, è stato possibile identificare le competenze tecniche, comportamentali e relazionali mobilitate dai designer digitali per lavorare in team che sviluppano progetti tecnologici come siti web, sistemi e applicazioni. Si tratta di uno studio rivolto ai professionisti del design digitale, agli studenti e ai manager che in qualche modo si relazionano con i designer e che vogliono comprendere meglio il ruolo e le competenze di questi professionisti nei team.
