Le cameriere sono spesso rappresentate in modo divertente e sfacciato sul palcoscenico dell’opera, anche se la loro vita era molto difficile all’epoca in cui le opere furono scritte. È interessante notare che le cameriere dell’opera hanno questo carattere tipico e che sono interpretate principalmente da una soubrette. Questo lavoro presenta la vita delle cameriere reali, la loro base artistica e il loro sviluppo sul palcoscenico dell’opera. L’analisi attanziale di Anne Ubersfeld mira a chiarire ulteriormente le motivazioni di queste serve. Mi sono impegnata a studiare quattro diversi ruoli operistici (Despina, Blonde, Adele, Serpina).
