Il blog è stato creato alla fine degli anni ’90 e nel corso degli anni alcuni blog hanno acquisito notorietà nel loro settore. Questi blog sono scritti da blogger carismatici che attirano l’attenzione dei lettori e, di conseguenza, delle aziende che desiderano stringere partnership. Lo scopo di questo studio era quello di analizzare il rapporto tra blogger di moda e bellezza e aziende cosmetiche. A tal fine, è stato condotto uno studio qualitativo, utilizzando la strategia della ricerca di casi multipli. Le prove sono state raccolte attraverso interviste mirate con tre blogger di moda e bellezza, attraverso i siti web di aziende di cosmetici e i blog del settore della moda e della bellezza disponibili su Internet, al fine di esplorare come avvengono le collaborazioni tra loro. Dall’analisi delle prove è emerso che le blogger di moda e bellezza intervistate sono professioniste e mantengono partnership con aziende cosmetiche nazionali e internazionali. Il rapporto può avvenire in quattro modi: banner, post pubblicitari, pubbliredazionali e anche con la produzione di prodotti cosmetici in partnership con il blog.
