Infine, viene analizzato il Programma Libertà e Dignità (PLD), istituito nel 2007 dal 1° Tribunale di Esecuzione Penale (VEP), esaminandone l’operatività, la strumentalizzazione e i mezzi utilizzati dagli operatori sociali per la trasformazione sociale e l’emancipazione dei detenuti e delle loro famiglie, indicando i limiti incontrati e le possibilità generate. La ricerca conclude che il lavoro degli assistenti sociali nell’esecuzione penale è estremamente importante per la risocializzazione dei detenuti.
