Lo scopo di questo libro è spiegare cosa accadrà nell’economia mondiale, in particolare in quella emergente, dal 2020 al 2060. Il libro si interroga su 'Cosa porteranno i prossimi quarant’anni?'. Sulla base di diverse ricerche e previsioni condotte da rinomati istituti di ricerca economica, il mondo assisterà all’ascesa di nuove potenze economiche e al declino di quelle tradizionali, concentrandosi su diversi punti chiave oltre al potere di parità di acquisto (PPP). Sottolineiamo che il metodo PPP non è ragionevole e logico per confrontare economie diverse, poiché il capitale è una relazione sociale e quindi abbiamo bisogno di diversi fattori per confrontare queste relazioni, specialmente quando vogliamo usare il termine 'superpotenza' in ambito economico e politico. La superpotenza non è solo una parola o un suono, ma ha alcuni fattori specifici. Questi diversi fattori chiave sono la base del potere nel futuro. Proponiamo di includere dieci nuovi aspetti che ogni superpotenza dovrebbe avere per continuare ad essere potente in futuro.
