“I Existed” is a very compelling story, lots of plot twists and waves of emotions...suicide, incest, teenage pregnancy, rage, love, hate, forgiveness...The author pretty much covered it all! It is an easy read but I have to be honest, I’m not sure I like the ending I understand the point the author made, but it left me with no closure. All in all, I enjoyed reading the book but did not find it difficult to read because of the subject matter. If the author took thestory line and wrapped it around the decision during the weeks prior to her decision, that option is a viable one, From my perspective, the idea of abortion at the point of delivery is not even a possibility. - Marty Cline

“Some shows have warnings for strobe lights. Some have them for loud gunshots.  Some for smoke.   MISSISSIPPI GODDAMN, a new play by Jonathan Norton should have one for intensity.   Granted, anyone attending a play about civil rights pioneer Medgar Evers set in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi, should expect some strife. Blood in the battle for racial equality is no surprise, but f...

“It seems to me that for fertility in droll inventions, the perpetual outpouring of unforeseen misunderstandings, for the inexhaustible gaiety of dialogue, Feydeau’s new play is superior to everything he’s written so far. The most astonishing thing is the sureness with which everything is controlled, explained, justified, in the most extravagant buffoonery. The cross-purpose...

“Plenty of glamorous backstabbing, diva dissing and sexual double-crossing…has every right to claim the name Dynasty for itself.  But the title character in Betty Shamieh’s bouncy, bumpy comic melodrama is the real thing. A queen, I mean, and not just of the self-dramatizing type. Scratch that. She’s more than a queen. She’s a pharaoh, one Hatshepsut, who reigned over Egypt ...

The Whispering Woods is a culmination of my education in criminology and victimology and my experiences in counseling. Of all novels, this one in particular is different from my previous books. It is a murder mystery. Though the majority of the book is fictional, the details regarding serial killers are fact. Certain characteristics are defined and described based on interviews...

For centuries, romance stories have captured the hearts of so many readers. There is something about the passion between people that captivates others. Most people get a glimpse of it from time to time; others may be so fortunate ...

  • No Holds Barred

No Holds Barred: No Holding Back” is a personal testimony. When I first sat down to write, I made two promises. The first was to be open and honest about who I was and what I did. For years, I felt as if I were wearing a mask: as if I was not genuine as a person, a parent, and as a pastor. The skeletons I buried resurfaced. Trust me, this promise was demanding, especially when...

“All  Things Work Together for Good” was my first novel. Initially, it started on Facebook. I posted the first chapter. I followed through only to write nine other novels since then. “All  Things Work Together for Good,” is faith-based. While a f...

Originally, “The Whispering Woods” started out as a single work. However, friends encouraged me to continue it as a series. What started out as one work quickly became a trilogy. It was my intention to write each piece independent of one another. That is, the reader did not have to read one without reading the other. Publishers encouraged me to combine all three works into one....
