We seek to understand the connection between Spiritism and formal basic education. We seek to understand the concepts of temporality and the formation of historical consciousness present in specific teaching materials used by the Allan Kardec School, located in the city of Catalão, Goiás, entitled Spiritist School: The School that Educates - Course and Unit Plans. which serves the network of Spiritist schools nationwide, intended for elementary school teachers, divided into four workbooks, each intended for the second, third, fourth, and fifth grades, presenting cross-curricular religious guidelines for the content provided for by the PCNs, referred to in the workbooks as 'formal content.' For example, in the subjects of History and Geography taught in the second grade, in the unit 'time,' among the content covered in this unit, the following subdivision is presented, formal content: 'a) Notions of time - Movements of the Earth (day and night) [...]. Spiritist content: Time in the spiritual world is not measured by earthly clocks, and the phenomenon of day and night is different [...].
