A eles devem-se as conquistas da urbanização, hoje tão triviais aos que andam por aqui. Passam despercebidas. Desde a energia elétrica, a água encanada, ao chão livre até a educação e a pavimentação de grande parte das ruas. Essas melhorias não caíram no nosso colo, mas sim houve um intenso processo reivindicatório.
