Thus, her passion for resiliency in at-risk youth and college students is apath she knows well. In this book, she examinedresiliency factors in at-risk college students,providing insight and strategies for collegeadministrators and professors who have a genuinedesire to attract and retain students. The authorexplored and captured insight of three collegestudents who were at risk, yet made it throughcollege. The findings in these stories revealevidence that proves students who are at-risk have aharder time obtaining a college degreethan non-at-risk students. The students inthis research explain their personal burdens and thetools they used to jump the hurdles tosuccess.
