HATSHEPSUT: THE FIRST GREAT WOMAN IN HISTORY is an action-packed PLAY, to be used in the LANGUAGE ARTS classroom, grades 6-12, in place of a novel. The setting is ANCIENT EGYPT, where in 1750 BCE a teenage girl has to marry her brother to become queen. Eventually she takes over completely, giving Egypt twenty years of increasing social equity and peace. Her architect becomes her close friend, but, tragically, they split at the end.
