Über das Buch: Es besteht allgemein Einigkeit darüber, dass die physiologischen und hämatologischen Variablen einen enormen Einfluss auf die Leistung eines Menschen in jedem Bereich haben, und auch der Sport, einschließlich des Boxens, ist davon nicht unberührt. Verschiedene Forschungsliteratur hat diese Tatsache bereits in verschiedenen Spielen und Sportarten nachgewiesen. Dementsprechend ist Boxen eine der Sportarten, bei denen diese Variablen eine große Rolle spielen können. Und um dies im Hinterkopf zu behalten, haben die Autoren dieses Buch auf der Grundlage einer Forschungsstudie geschrieben. Die Forschungsstudie wurde auf der Grundlage von fünf Zielen durchgeführt. Die ausgewählten hämatologischen Variablen waren rote Blutkörperchen, weiße Blutkörperchen, Hämoglobin und Blutplättchen. Während anaerobe Leistung, Vitalkapazität, Ruheherzfrequenz, Ruheatmungsfrequenz, Gesamtkörperfettanteil, fettfreies Körpergewicht, positive Atemhaltekapazität und negative Atemhaltekapazität als physiologische Variablen ausgewählt wurden.
