Proponuje również prześledzenie początków praktyki pisania intymnego i gatunków związanych z indywidualną trajektorią, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem korespondencji osobistej, w kontekście wzrostu nowoczesnego indywidualizmu, począwszy od połowy XVIII wieku w Europie.
