Raumplanung, Note: 1,0, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel (Institut für Geographie), Veranstaltung: Stadtentwicklung Berlin - Übung für Fortgeschrittene, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Großwohnsiedlung Marzahn war eines der größten Bauvorhaben der ehemaligen DDR. Fertig gestellt wurde sie Ende der 80’er Jahre in Stadtrandlage Ost-Berlins und bildete nach Abschluss des Bauvorhabens einen neuen eigenen Stadtbezirk. Bis heute ist sie in Verbindung mit Hellersdorf die größte zusammenhängende Plattenbausiedlung Europas (Schwenk, 2002, S.301). Sozioökonomische Disparitäten kommen aufgrund der vorliegenden Monostrukturen besonders zum Tragen und erfordern planerische Maßnahmen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, einen umfassenden Überblick über die Stadtteilentwicklung der Großwohnsiedlung Marzahn-Hellersdorf zu geben. Die Rahmenbedingungen und Erfordernisse des weiteren Stadtumbaus werden beleuchtet sowie aktuelle Probleme und Maßnahmen der Quartiersaufwertung benannt (Bezirksamt Marzahn-Hellersdorf, 2007, S.4).
