The short stories in this collection take place in a poverty-stricken, often hilarious childhood growing up in small town Minnesota in the early 1960’s. There were no ’helicopter’ parents. They are stories written with humor and without much nostalgia. They are stories written with a light touch, but they were not written lightly.
