Maby you have read the bible and wondered what JESUS actually meant when HE said 'Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Maby during your study time you have tried to understand what JESUS was getting at when HE made the beatitudes sound like a manifesto, but many churches make the beatitudes sound like the teachings of a Hippy? Perhaps you have been reciting The LORDs prayer and wondered what you are requesting when you say 'May YOUR Kingdom come, may YOUR will be done on earth as it is in heaven.'Have you ever been to a church that has put on a Christmas pageant? The church probably included Isaiah 9:6-7 as part of the ’dramatic’ effect. I do not think that many church leaders are able to give an explanation of what is meant by ’the Government will rest on the shoulders of CHRIST’.Haha...funny story, actually it turns out that the ’church organization’ wrote themselves into the English translation of the bible. When JESUS said, 'Upon this rock will I build my...' the ’church organization’ translated the word ’church’. But the Word that was used talks about is a part of a governmental system.  JESUS is the KING of The Kingdom, and our jobs are to cultivate the hearts of men (because The KING is expanding HIS Kingdom). Just like the ground needs to be cultivated before a concrete foundation is laid, our job is to cultivate hearts/soil. You have probably heard that ’heaven is the place that Christians go when they die’. No apologies from me for just saying that whoever told you that was misinformed! Heaven is the headquarters of GOD’s Kingdom and it is not a vacation spot for the deceased. Paul says in Acts 2:34 that king David did not go up to heaven when he died, and in John 3:13 JESUS is talking to Nicodemus where HE just says that HE was the only one that had ever been to heaven. The KING has given each of us a job . Unlike what society teaches people we are not just a random collection of cells that is destined to roam the earth until we die...we have a job to do, so let’s get to it!
