Going West is a novel written by Basil King and published in 1919. The story follows the life of a young man named David Carr, who leaves his home in New York City to start a new life in the American West. He travels by train and eventually settles in a small town in Montana, where he becomes a successful businessman and falls in love with a local woman named Mary. However, his past catches up with him when his former employer, a corrupt businessman, comes to town and threatens to ruin his new life. David must confront his past and make difficult decisions in order to protect his future. The novel explores themes of love, redemption, and the struggle between good and evil. It also provides a glimpse into the American West during the early 20th century, including the challenges faced by settlers and the opportunities for success and growth. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
