This book includes student projects in ARC331, the first of two required Environmental Control System courses at Cal Poly Pomona University. The course introduces basic concepts in sustainable architectural design, with an emphasis on energy. The goal of this assignment is to provide a hands-on opportunity to implement the concepts taught in class and to learn by doing. The project introduced students to the process of designing zero net energy buildings with energy modeling as an important part of the process. There were 110 students in the course, organized in 24 teams of 4 to 5 students each and developed over 5 weeks. All 24 projects are included in this publication.
