This is the story of a little girl and her adventures on a farm and how she is scared of thunderstorms and how her mom helps her overcome her fears. The day in the life a happy little girl playing on the family farm and the adventures that she has. The adventures and the storm that ensues and how her mother calms her during this freighting time. This story is partly based on a story that my own mother told me as a little girl during the frequent storms that rolled through the Mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and partly on my memories of playing in and around our home as a young child. The thunder that seemed to amplify in the mountains still rings clear in my mind even today and the memory of being calmed by my mother during these times. As a young child myself I loved to explore all types of places and sometimes at least in my mind I made those places my sanctuary. These are the type of stories that my mother told me all during my childhood. I hope that all will enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed the stories that my own mother told me as a young child.
