Unter sorgfältiger Berücksichtigung der jeweiligen paradigmatischen Voraussetzungen stellt Ingrid Kaiser in dieser interdisziplinär angelegten Untersuchung erstmals systematische Bezüge zwischen sozialwissenschaftlichen und evolutionsbiologischen Zugängen zu Gewalt in Paarbeziehungen und Eltern-Kind-Beziehungen her. Anhand der biologisch-funktionalen Theorieofferte diskutiert sie Entstehungsbedingungen von Gewalt in häuslichen Beziehungen in einem erweiterten theoretischen Bezugsrahmen und stellt neue Ansätze zur Erklärung bisher widersprüchlicher empirischer Befunde dar. Vor diesem Hintergrund zeigt sie innovative Impulse zur Weiterentwicklung von Ansätzen zur Intervention und Prävention auf.
