Wyly. Dieser erschien im Januar 2006 in dem Journal 'Urban Studies' (Vol. 43, No. 1, 23 - 57). Dieser Artikel handelt von der Anwendung einer „mixed-methods' Studie zur Messung von Gentrification und Verdrängung sowie „Überlebensstrategien' von einkommensschwächeren MieterInnen in gentrifizierten Vierteln in New York City. Die Analyse beruht auf den Jahren 1990 bis 2003. Der Fachartikel wird in den nachfolgenden Kapiteln im Hinblick auf die Forschungsfrage (siehe Kapitel 2) zusammengefasst, die Forschungsfrage beantwortet und im Anschluss daran folgt eine Zusammenfassung mit einer kritischen und persönlichen Reflexion.
